On the afternoon of June 17 (local time), Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Luong Ngoc said that the Embassy has deployed citizen protection work, accordingly 18 Vietnamese citizens living and working in Iran have been evacuated to a third country, in the context of the conflict between Israel and Iran that continues to escalate.
According to Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc, amid the increasingly complicated security situation, 18 Vietnamese citizens have left for a third country.
There are currently 20 Vietnamese citizens in Iran, including embassy staff. The citizens are safe, mentally stable and in close contact with the embassy.
The Vietnamese community in Iran has a total of 38 people, including embassy staff, local residents and some short-term residents.
The Embassy regularly advises people to be vigilant, avoid crowded places, strictly comply with regulations and instructions to ensure security and safety of local authorities, as well as maintain close contact with the Embassy.

Tensions between Israel and Iran have entered their fifth day and continue to escalate dangerously since Israel's preemptive strike on targets in the capital Tehran and several Iranian provinces in the early morning of June 13.
Many countries are currently planning to evacuate their citizens from both Iran and Israel.
