During the night of November 18 and early morning of November 19, forces of the Lam Dong Provincial Road Maintenance Board and the contractor raced against time, mobilizing maximum human resources and vehicles to urgently reinforce the landslide on Mimosa Pass (National Highway 20).

Mr. Pham Van Thai Binh , Director of Lam Dong Province Road Maintenance Board, said that heavy rain lasting from November 16 to 18, 2025 caused many landslides and damage to the roadbed and surface of Mimosa Pass, section Km223+240 to Km234+000, in Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat.

In particular, the section from Km226+500 to Km226+800 has serious landslides, with the potential risk of further landslides, not ensuring safety for vehicles, especially heavy trucks.

As early as 7 p.m. on November 18, the construction unit urgently gathered materials and prepared to drive dozens of Larsen piles to reinforce the negative slope, drill anchors, and treat the roadbed and slope. The task force had to work in bad weather conditions, slippery road surfaces, but still stayed at the scene all night to prevent the risk of landslides from spreading.

Mr. Pham Van Thai Binh added: “In the context of Prenn Pass being temporarily closed due to landslides, traffic has shifted to Mimosa Pass. Therefore, we have to carry out emergency tasks as quickly as possible, working overnight to ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles.”

In parallel with handling key landslide points, the Provincial Road Maintenance Board also inspected the entire route, arranged 24/7 staff on duty, monitored geological developments and surface water flow to promptly respond if any unusual signs appeared.

By focusing on continuous construction at night, the units have basically controlled the risk of widespread landslides, keeping Mimosa Pass safe in the face of complicated weather conditions.
