Recorded on the morning of November 23, the price of green coffee beans in the Central Highlands provinces continued to decrease sharply, losing from 1,800 to 2,200 VND/kg compared to the previous session. This decline occurred in line with the negative trend on world trading floors, putting great pressure on farmers as they enter the main harvest season.

Domestic coffee prices fell sharply
In the Central Highlands, the common coffee purchase price is currently fluctuating between 111,500 and 112,500 VND/kg. This is a significantly lower price compared to the beginning of the week, reflecting the cautious sentiment of both sellers and purchasing businesses.
| Province/City | Purchase price (VND/kg) | Change rate (VND/kg) |
|---|---|---|
| Dak Lak | 112,500 | -2,200 |
| Gia Lai | 112,200 | -1,800 |
| Lam Dong | 111,500 | -2,000 |
The prolonged decline is raising concerns about narrowing profit margins for farmers, especially in the context of rising costs of agricultural materials, harvesting labor and logistics.
World markets all hit the floor

- The December 2025 contract fell slightly to 462.45 cents/lb.
- The September 2026 contract fell 5.3 cents/lb to 393.25 cents/lb.
Causes and predictions
Experts believe the prolonged price decline is the result of a combination of factors. Supply pressure from Brazil, the world’s largest coffee producer, is still weighing on the market. In addition, unpredictable weather in key growing regions and concerns about a global economic recession that could impact consumption demand are also important causes.
It is forecasted that in the coming time, the coffee market will continue to fluctuate strongly, closely depending on reports on supply-demand and export activities of leading producing countries.
