Attending the live conference in Hanoi were Minister Le Minh Hoan, Mr. Yaro Meyer - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Vietnam, Mr. Gal Saf - Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Israel to Vietnam. The conference was also held online in 43 provinces and cities and 71 connecting points.

Minister Le Minh Hoan expressed his impression of Israel - a small country with a large desert area but has great innovations in irrigation. The keyword 'water saving culture' of Israel made the Minister want to know why a country with a large sandy area has become the world's leading exporter of agricultural products, even high-tech equipment to the world.

Minister Le Minh Hoan emphasized the need to access science and technology, with high-tech solutions. Vietnam used to be proud to be a country with a lot of water, but now the need for water has turned Vietnam into a country lacking water, and solutions are needed to have enough water for agricultural production.

Mr. Yaro Meyer, Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam, expressed his joy when visiting the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and sharing about water-saving irrigation technology to help Vietnamese farmers improve their livelihoods. Israel also faces many problems such as drought and water scarcity, but the country's perspective is to turn challenges into opportunities through technology. Today, Israel no longer lacks water.

Israel has core technologies such as water-saving irrigation technology, irrigation technology, sprinkler irrigation technology, water reuse technology, desalination of seawater into fresh water, construction of water tanks, and many campaigns to raise people's awareness of water saving and build a culture of water saving.

According to Mr. Gal Saf - Israel's Commercial Counselor in Vietnam, Israel's geographical location is 60% desert, the inability to build trade relations with neighboring countries makes Israel unable to rely on water resources. Israel also often faces droughts and the rapid population growth since 1990 makes the problem of water supply urgent.

To solve this problem, Israel has come up with two water treatment initiatives: water recycling and desalination. At the same time, Israel also uses parallel measures such as sprinkler irrigation, greenhouses, net houses to grow plants that use less water and grow drought-resistant varieties...
