Domestic rice prices today
In the Mekong Delta, the supply of rice and paddy of all kinds is relatively stable. Trading transactions are all in An Giang , prices are stable. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the volume is small, the price of rice of all kinds fluctuates little. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), trading transactions are slow, prices are stable. In Sa Dec market canal, the volume is sporadically, the market warehouse buys regularly, prices fluctuate little. In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the volume is small, good rice is scarce, warehouses buy slowly, prices are stable.
Raw rice prices in the Mekong Delta region today remain unchanged compared to yesterday.

Raw rice OM 5451: 9,300 - 9,500 VND/kg.
Raw rice IR 504: 8,250 - 8,350 VND/kg.

Jasmine rice: 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg.
At retail markets, rice prices have not recorded any new adjustments.

Thai fragrant rice: 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg.
Jasmine: 22,000 VND/kg.
Nang Nhen Rice: 28,000 VND/kg (highest).
The glutinous rice segment remained unchanged.

In Kien Giang , the early summer-autumn rice harvest is low, traders buy sporadically at relatively stable prices.
In Can Tho , the demand for new Summer-Autumn rice is slow and prices are relatively stable.
In Dong Thap, early-season rice harvest is sporadic, trading is quiet, and prices fluctuate little.

Rice export price today
In the export market, the price of 5% broken rice from Vietnam remained stable at 397 USD/ton. The price of the same type of rice from Thailand was higher (403 USD/ton), while that from India (384 USD/ton) and Pakistan (392 USD/ton) were lower.
According to the Bangkok Post, in the first 4 months of the year, Thailand exported 2.4 million tons of rice (down 30%) earning 1.5 billion USD (down 34%) compared to the same period in 2024. White rice exports decreased sharply (51%), white broken rice decreased (40%), and glutinous rice decreased (15%). On the contrary, Hom Mali rice increased (3%), Hom Mali broken rice increased (4%), and parboiled rice increased (14%).
At the Thailand Rice Conference (TRC 2025), the Thai Minister of Commerce affirmed that the rice industry will be developed by improving quality and expanding to new markets (EU, Japan, Middle East) according to the policy of "Thailand - Kitchen of the World". TRC 2025 is expected to help Thailand achieve more than 100,000 tons of orders, bringing in more than 2 billion baht. The annual export target remains at 7.5 million tons.
The president of the Thai Rice Exporters Association is concerned that India's return to the market and rising global production could impact exports, but US tariffs are not a concern.
