Israel will not retaliate against Iran for its recent large-scale airstrike, the New York Times reported. The decision was made after a conversation between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden following the attack.
Israel has decided not to retaliate against Iran, although some members of its war cabinet have floated the option of a military response, Israeli officials said on condition of anonymity. However, the Iranian air strike caused relatively little damage and did not need to escalate the conflict further.

According to US officials, during the conversation between the US and Israeli leaders, Washington hoped that the conflict would not spread further in the Middle East. The US also asked Israel not to retaliate. Israel's successful defense against Iran's large-scale air attack had no small amount of support from allied countries.
According to Russia's TASS news agency, an unnamed US official confirmed that Israel will not escalate the conflict with Iran. Accordingly, Israel has been guaranteed security by Washington in case Iran continues to attack. Tel Aviv currently does not want to stir up conflict.
“ All they are trying to do is protect and secure themselves,” the unnamed US official said, stressing that Israel needs to carefully consider its next steps following Iran’s attack on its territory.
Following the Iranian air strikes, REN TV interviewed Israeli citizen Irina Pogulyai about the situation in Tel Aviv. Currently, educational institutions in Tel Aviv are temporarily closed. However, shops and restaurants in the city continue to operate.
During the attack, residents were told to go to shelters in central Tel Aviv, but the Iranian missiles were intercepted on the outskirts, said Irina Pogulyai.
Starting from the morning of April 14, operations at the airport in Tel Aviv have resumed.
On Iran's side, state news agency IRNA quoted Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi as saying that Israel will try to weaken Iran's economy in the coming time in response to the recent attack.
According to the Iranian leader, Tehran is ready for such developments. Mr. Ibrahim Raisi stressed that Iran will take timely measures to support economic stability.

On the night of April 14, Iran launched 185 drones, 36 cruise missiles, and 110 surface-to-surface ballistic missiles into Israeli territory. Tehran called this action a response to the attack on its consulate in Syria on April 1.
The Israel Defense Forces said most of the Iranian missiles and drones were intercepted by anti-missile systems and fighter jets outside Israeli territory.
