The new devices feature a hard polycarbonate frame and a metal back.
The JCB Toughphone features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a “waterdrop” notch. The Toughphone Max features a larger 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a “hole-punch” design.
Both phones have Gorilla Glass-protected displays with rubberized edges for added drop protection and come with screen protectors.
The Toughphone comes with a single 20MP rear camera and LED flash while the Toughphone Max is equipped with a 48MP main camera, a 16MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera and a VGA module. Both devices have a 20MP front camera.
The Toughphone is equipped with a MediaTek - Helio P22 chip with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. The Toughphone Max has a Dimensity 700 chip with 8GB RAM/ 256GB ROM.
The JCB Toughphone has a 4,050 mAh battery, while the Toughphone Max is equipped with a battery capacity of up to 12,200 mAh.
The Toughphone runs Android 13 while the Toughphone Max comes with the older Android 12 version pre-installed.
The JCB Toughphone is priced at £300 (around VND9 million) while the Toughphone Max is priced at £600 (around VND18 million). The super-durable smartphones will be available from mid-July.
