Jisoo stars in new movie amid rumors of BlackPink disbanding

On September 19, Korean media reported that Jisoo (BlackPink) will appear in the movie Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman directed by Kang Dong Won. The movie will be released on September 27.

Jisoo will appear in Kang Dong Won's new movie.

In the film, Jisoo will play a fairy, adding a mysterious atmosphere to the film. Director Kim Seong Sik said, "I was looking for an actor who fits the image of a fairy, and I thought of Jisoo after watching the film 'Snowdrop'." This role marks the BlackPink member's return to acting, so it has attracted public attention.

Previously, Jisoo received an invitation to participate in the zombie movie Influenza with actor Park Jung Min . Jisoo plays the role of Young Joo, the girlfriend of soldier Jae Yoon (Park Jung Min).

The film is set in an air defense unit located in a high-rise building in Seoul, following soldier Jae Yoon and his girlfriend Young Joo as they fight against the aggressive zombies. YG Entertainment said the female idol is still considering the role.

Currently, BlackPink has concluded its Born Pink global tour. After this tour, information about the contract renewal between the famous girl group and their management company YG Entertainment will soon be announced. If a member does not renew with the company, BlackPink may have to change its lineup, or worse, end its activities.

As of now, YG and BlackPink's contract renewal has not been finalized. Even if the contract has expired, the previously scheduled schedules are still considered valid.
