Liverpool's £300m transfer plan

Liverpool are set to sign PSG's Bradley Barcola after completing the Florian Wirtz deal, taking their total summer spending to more than £300m.

Liverpool are ambitious to strengthen their squad this summer.

Liverpool are set to announce a British football record deal to sign Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for £127m, according to British media. The German midfielder is expected to join Anfield in a huge deal.

Manager Arne Slot is also keen to add Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez to his Premier League-winning squad, while Liverpool are also keeping an eye on French winger Bradley Barcola.

Barcola is currently a target for Bayern Munich and is valued at up to £100 million. Notably, Barcola could leave when he fails to take an official place in the PSG squad because coach Luis Enrique prioritizes using Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue.

Liverpool are set to spend in excess of £300m in the summer transfer window, with Newcastle's Alexander Isak also a target. To raise funds, the Reds will part ways with the likes of Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

Among them, Nunez is reported to be leaving soon. Saudi Arabia and Italy are potential destinations for the Uruguayan striker.

Coach Slot is ambitious to help Liverpool win the Champions League next season, after having to stop early in the round of 16 against PSG.
