On the morning of November 29, the Provincial Cooperative Union organized a conference to connect supply and demand and display, introduce and consume typical products of cooperatives and cooperative unions in Thai Binh in 2024. Attending were comrades: Nguyen Quang Hung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Collective Economic Development; Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Union; leaders of the Cooperative Unions of provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the conference.

In recent times, the Provincial Cooperative Union has been active in promoting trade promotion activities for its member units, organizing for cooperatives to participate in fairs inside and outside the province, helping cooperatives strengthen the connection between supply and demand and product consumption. The Provincial Cooperative Union established the Club of Cooperatives with OCOP products in Thai Binh province. Up to now, 54 cooperatives have built 62 products with brands, labels, and packaging that are local specialties recognized as 3-star and 4-star OCOP products; over 280 cooperatives have linked product consumption with 30 enterprises inside and outside the province.

This supply-demand connection conference is an opportunity for cooperatives, businesses and distributors to meet, exchange, share experiences, learn about market information and establish distribution channels to bring typical, safe quality products to domestic consumers and for export.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice President of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, requested the Provincial Cooperative Alliance to actively advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to issue policies on innovation and development of the collective economy, focusing on enhancing trade promotion activities for cooperatives; promote propaganda to raise awareness of the role of trade promotion activities in the effectiveness of the production and business process, creating proactive and positive participation in trade promotion activities of member units; actively seek markets, call for investors to support cooperatives to join associations, form product value chains; implement trade promotion support programs in many forms, especially digital transformation, application of science and technology, promote productivity, quality, and increase product competitiveness.
