With the theme “Vinh Phuc flies up with the country”, the opening ceremony of the Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 was held grandly with elaborate music and dance performances. The opening was a special drum performance and modern art and lighting performances that delighted the audience. Despite the rainy weather, many people came early to wait for the opening ceremony.
Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 has a series of activities including hot air balloon flying experiences, exhibitions, food stalls, street art performances and impressive carnival programs.
The event is expected to attract tens of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to the goal of Vinh Phuc welcoming more than 11 million visitors in 2025.
The highlight of the festival is the hot air balloon flight (a form of hanging in place) for visitors to enjoy. There will be a total of 13 decorative hot air balloons, 10 helium-filled hot air balloon models, 4 unmanned hot air balloons and 3 piloted hot air balloons. The hot air balloons will operate continuously from 7am to 10pm throughout the 5 days of the festival.
There is an exhibition, shopping and culinary area with a scale of 60-100 booths introducing OCOP products, local specialties, fashion , handicrafts... serving the sightseeing and shopping needs of tourists. The virtual reality entertainment area and entertainment games also create a colorful festival space.

On May 4, the closing ceremony of the Festival will end with a brilliant carnival performance and a flight performance by 3 level 7-8 hot air balloons, promising to bring unforgettable impressions to visitors.
Held for the first time, Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 not only brings unique performances but also opens up a new direction for the province's tourism industry.
The event is organized on a large scale to create a cultural and artistic space to promote and introduce the image, land, people, potential and advantages of cultural and tourism development of the locality to visitors from near and far.
