Opening of Dong Xam Temple Festival in 2024

Dong Xam Temple is a large-scale, monumental relic complex including the temple of Trieu Vu De, the temple of Trinh Thi Hoang Hau (wife of King Trieu Vu De) associated with legends about a Cheo village, a Ca Tru village and the temple of Nguyen Kim Lau, the founder of the silver carving and jewelry craft, located in a large-scale complex of communal houses, temples and shrines of nearly 10,000 m2 . Dong Xam Temple was granted a National Historical Relic Certificate by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 1990.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duc - Chairman of Kien Xuong District People's Committee performed the drum beating ceremony to open the Dong Xam Temple Festival in 2024.

Dong Xam Temple Festival 2024 will be held for 4 days from May 7-10 (ie March 29 - April 3 of the lunar calendar) with many spiritual and cultural activities such as: procession of the Holy Queen's palanquin; incense offering ceremony; worshiping male and female mandarins... and traditional folk games such as chess, swimming...

The highlight of this year’s Dong Xam Festival is the OCOP products of Kien Xuong district with a scale of 16 booths (each booth has 1 product). At the same time, the products of Dong Xam silver carving village are displayed to promote the image and serve the buying and selling needs of people and tourists from all over.
