Opening of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025

(Baoquangngai.vn) - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in the province in 2025 with the theme: "Reading books - enriching knowledge, nurturing aspirations, promoting innovation and creativity".

The program was held on the evening of April 21 at the Provincial General Library. Attending were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan and representatives of relevant departments and agencies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Thi Thu Thuy affirmed the great role and profound meaning of books in people's spiritual life; at the same time, she hoped that departments, branches, localities, and book publishing establishments would pay attention to organizing many activities to contribute to the development of reading culture in the province. Schools need to promote their core role in building reading habits for students through extracurricular activities, friendly libraries and creative teaching methods.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025.

At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded the Book Cover Design and Presentation Contest to the 3 best teams including: Pham Van Dong University; Le Khiet High School for the Gifted and Vo Nguyen Giap High School. This activity not only creates a useful playground, arouses the passion for reading for students, but also fosters creative ideas, encourages the spirit of learning and discovery in the community.

Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 in Quang Ngai takes place from April 21 to 23, 2025. Activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day include: Book cover design and presentation contest by students from 4 universities and high schools in the province; organizing the talk show "Creative thinking - Creating ideas"; organizing Creative Spaces such as: Introducing books on innovation, introducing and experiencing stem models, virtual reality equipment, sharing methods and tools for innovation, etc.
