The exhibition introduces 60 works selected from hundreds of works by Vietnamese and foreign painters, sculptors, and artisans about President Ho Chi Minh , from the collection of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. The works include different genres and materials such as: painting, graphics, sculpture, embroidery, paper carving...
In his opening speech, Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum Nguyen Anh Minh emphasized: “The life, great career, extremely simple lifestyle, and wholehearted devotion to the country and people of President Ho Chi Minh touched the hearts of artists and became a special source of inspiration. They painted and sculpted him as a natural emotional urge, stemming from their hearts, love, admiration and respect for President Ho Chi Minh.”
The works displayed in this exhibition depict important milestones in the life, activities and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh: Uncle Ho in his youth, Uncle Ho searching for a way to save the country; President Ho working at the Northern Government Office; Uncle Ho going on campaigns, President Ho with different classes of people, the landscape of Uncle Ho's residence and workplace...
The exhibition “Ho Chi Minh in the visual arts” is not only a tribute and deep gratitude to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero and outstanding cultural figure, but also a valuable opportunity for the public at home and abroad to understand more about his great life and career.
The exhibition is open until May 30 at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts (66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi ).
