Opening of "Exhibition of booths displaying typical cultural products of Khmer people"

On the afternoon of October 30, at Ao Ba Om scenic relic site (Nguyet Hoa ward), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the "Exhibition of booths displaying typical cultural products of the Khmer people" to welcome the Ok Om Bok Festival in 2025.

On the afternoon of October 30, at Ao Ba Om scenic relic site (Nguyet Hoa ward), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the "Exhibition of booths displaying typical cultural products of the Khmer people" to welcome the Ok Om Bok Festival in 2025.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

Most Venerable Thach Sok Xane - Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Board of the Buddhist Sangha of Vinh Long province, President of the Provincial Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Monks; Most Venerable Thach Oai - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Monks; leaders of provincial departments, branches, localities and people attended the opening ceremony.

Delegates visited the booth displaying typical products of the Khmer people.

In his opening speech, Mr. Thach Boi - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized: The exhibition of booths displaying typical products of the Khmer people is a highlight imbued with traditional cultural identity in the series of activities at the Ok Om Bok Festival of Vinh Long province in 2025.

Here, we introduce typical products of Khmer people such as: flattened rice, agricultural products, daily living utensils, traditional Khmer costumes, wooden sculptures, hats, masks, flower mats, OCOP products in localities... to tourists.
