People of Phu Bai ward transact with Huong Thuy Social Policy Bank

The family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue , Luong Nhon residential group, Huong Thuy ward, is attached to the carpentry profession, but due to lack of capital, they only produce on a small scale. Previously, the family's carpentry workshop depended on small orders from households. Sometimes when there were large orders, the family did not dare to accept them because the machinery did not meet the requirements.

Thanks to the guidance and support of the staff of the savings and loan group, Ms. Hue was able to access a loan from the Social Policy Bank for newly escaped poverty households in the amount of 80 million VND. With the capital, her family invested in expanding the carpentry workshop and buying more machinery and equipment. The carpentry workshop not only accepts processing furniture for households but also accepts large orders from restaurants and cafes.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue, thanks to capital and machinery support, she is more proactive, the quality of the goods produced is guaranteed and orders are much more regular than before.

From her own success, Ms. Hue has become a companion of policy credit capital. She often connects and shares about policy credit capital with relatives and friends.

Not only the direct beneficiaries, policy credit capital is receiving great support from the government, associations and savings and loan groups. They are the bridge to bring the State's preferential capital closer to policy subjects, contributing to creating a clear change in the activities of the Social Policy Bank Transaction Office Huong Thuy, realizing the goal of "Leaving no one behind".

Mr. Le Van Cuong, Secretary of Phu Bai Ward Party Committee, said: Policy credit capital not only helps poor and near-poor households confidently stabilize their lives but also supports vulnerable groups such as: Students, students firmly on the path of learning; support people with housing difficulties to settle down... Accompanying this capital source is always of interest to the Party Committee and the government. The Ward Party Committee has included policy credit work in the regular inspection and supervision program. The residential group Party cells closely coordinate with the savings and loan groups, unions and banks to grasp the situation of capital use, spread and replicate effective loan models.

To make policy credit sources effective, local Party committees and authorities should coordinate with banks to diversify entrusted capital sources, prioritizing the allocation of capital from the budget to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies for lending. Strengthen the linkage of credit with activities supporting the transfer of science and technology, agricultural, forestry and fishery extension programs, and local socio -economic development projects.

Thanks to the continuous support from the government to all levels of associations and groups, the State's preferential credit capital has arrived promptly and become a "lever" to help poor and near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries stabilize their lives.

Up to now, the outstanding debt in the management area of ​​the Social Policy Bank Transaction Office in Huong Thuy has reached more than 500 billion VND, with more than 7,500 households borrowing loans with outstanding debt, contributing significantly to poverty reduction, job creation, new rural construction and civilized urban development.
