Unifying many important contents to prepare for the 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai)

On October 31, the Department of Finance of Lao Cai province chaired the 3rd Economic and Trade Cooperation meeting between Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China) provinces, to unify the contents of the 25th Vietnam - China (Lao Cai) International Trade Fair. The meeting was connected online between Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Hong Ha district, Yunnan province (China).

Attending at Lao Cai bridge point were Mr. Do Xuan Thuy - Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Finance; along with representatives of relevant departments and branches such as: Foreign Affairs, Industry and Trade, Construction, Culture - Sports and Tourism, Agriculture and Environment, Provincial Border Guard Command, Customs Department...

At the Chinese bridge, Mr. Ly Tri Quoc - Deputy Director of the Hong Ha District Trade Department, Yunnan Province, was the Head of the delegation.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed and agreed on many specific contents related to preparations for the fair.

Currently, the Vietnamese Organizing Committee has received registrations from 180 domestic organizations and enterprises from more than 20 provinces and cities with 330 booths, including 16 trade promotion centers and 6 car dealerships in Lao Cai province with an area of ​​nearly 1,000 square meters; the list of invited delegates to attend the fair includes 550 domestic and international delegates (about 150 foreign delegates, mainly from China, along with trade counselors and ambassadors from several other countries).

According to the report of the Vietnamese Organizing Committee, by October 30, the preparation work had been basically completed. The design of mockups, printing of documents, invitations, delegate cards, billboards, banners, opening stage, indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, etc. were all completed.

According to information from the Chinese side, more than 200 enterprises have registered to participate, including the following fields: processed agricultural products, machinery and equipment, electronics, garments...; completed the review of the list of goods sent to customs and are expected to provide the list and booth arrangement diagram to the Vietnamese side before November 4.

At the conference, the two sides agreed on the time to set up the booth from November 5 to November 18, 2025, ensuring completion before the opening day. According to the agreed program, the 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai) will take place from November 19 to November 24, 2025 at Kim Thanh Exhibition and Fair Center, Lao Cai Ward.

Within the framework of the fair, the two sides will organize many economic , trade, investment and business promotion cooperation activities, including: Conference to introduce mechanisms, policies and investment attraction projects (November 19, 2025); Conference on economic and trade cooperation between Lao Cai and Yunnan provinces (November 20, 2025); Conference to introduce import-export policies and mechanisms, combining trade between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises, and a program to sign cooperation agreements between enterprises of the two countries; "Megalive" program to promote, introduce and sell products directly and online (from November 19 to November 24, 2025).

The opening ceremony of the fair will be held at 9:00 a.m. on November 20, 2025, with the participation of leaders of Lao Cai and Yunnan provinces and domestic and foreign delegates. The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 24, 2025, after which the two sides will hold a summary conference in China in December 2025.

The two sides also agreed to continue extending the customs clearance time at Kim Thanh - Bac Son border gate to 10 p.m. every day, from November 16 to November 25, 2025, to facilitate the transportation and trading of goods during the fair.

In the spirit of friendship, cooperation and mutual development, the 3rd working session ended with high consensus from both sides, creating an important premise for the 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai) in 2025 to take place as planned, ensuring scale, quality and significance.
