Businesswoman Dang Thi Truc Lan Chi - preserving the sweet taste of coconut land

In 2025, for the fourth time, Ms. Dang Thi Truc Lan Chi - Director of Vinh Tien Company Limited (Phu Tan Ward) was honored to receive the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Businesswoman - Golden Rose". This further creates a strong impression of a woman with courage, perseverance and passion for her homeland's products. Those are coconut candies with rich coconut flavor.

With more than 2 decades of experience in the profession, Ms. Dang Thi Truc Lan Chi always believes that each candy, each cake is not only a commercial product but also a story of the land, the hands and heart of the craftsman. It is this belief that has motivated her to constantly research and create non-sticky coconut candy products under the Vinh Tien brand, in 2011.

The advantage of Vinh Tien coconut candy overcomes the disadvantage of traditional coconut candy being sticky, contributing to creating a turning point for the enterprise. From a woman who started a business with little capital and little experience, she has developed the Vinh Tien brand strongly, exporting to the world such as: America, Australia, Japan, China.

Not only focusing on business development, Ms. Lan Chi is also known as an active person in connecting the community of female entrepreneurs. She takes on the role of President of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Ben Tre province (old), and now Vinh Long province, to advocate for support for women starting businesses, spreading the spirit of creativity and confidence. For her, success is not only measured by revenue but also by the community values built and shared.

Ms. Lan Chi shared: To achieve that success, Vinh Tien Company Limited has invested early in modern technology, automated production lines, applied ISO 9001, products meet 4-star OCOP standards at the provincial level with the potential to be upgraded to 5 stars. Thereby, the company not only creates economic value but also becomes a "locomotive" in exporting coconut products, creating stable jobs for hundreds of workers, especially female workers in the locality.

Businesswoman Nguyen Thi Hong Thu - passionate about coconut agricultural products

In the journey to bring Vietnamese fruits to the world, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thu is a character who has been closely associated with the local fruit chain. From the early days of starting her career as a fruit trader in the West, she not only did simple business but also always cherished the great aspiration of "letting the agricultural products of her homeland stand on par with the international market".

Amidst challenges from quality, from growing areas, from exporting to demanding markets, she still perseveres step by step to overcome difficulties to maintain and bring many local specialty fruits further and further.

From a traditional "fruit barn", it has gradually become a stable export base with key products such as durian, grapefruit, longan, rambutan, mango, lychee... Currently the General Director of Chanh Thu Fruit Import Export Company Limited (Cho Lach commune), Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thu has made an impression as a local enterprise raising its export level; including large, demanding markets such as the US, Japan and many European countries.

Ms. Hong Thu said that the company has invested in international standard growing areas, built processing and freezing factories, and applied strict control processes to meet the strict requirements of foreign markets.

Being recognized as an “Outstanding Female Entrepreneur” with the title “Golden Rose 2025” is not only a personal honor but also the pride of the entire Western fruit region.

The image of Ms. Hong Thu with her long-term vision and unceasing determination deserves to be a symbol for the modern generation of Vietnamese entrepreneurs: knowing how to connect the homeland's identity with international standards, knowing how to exploit potential while still preserving the unique features of the land and people.

Entrepreneur Thach Thi Chal Thi - starting a business from coconut nectar

Businesswoman Thach Thi Chal Thi is the founder and Director of Sokfarm Company, a company that produces and trades products from coconut nectar, with the goal of increasing economic value for coconut farmers in Tra Vinh province (old), now Vinh Long province.

After graduating with a degree in food technology, nearly 4 years of working, accumulating knowledge, experience and completing a master's program, in 2018, Ms. Thach Thi Chal Thi decided to return to her hometown to start a business from local products.

With her knowledge of food technology, Ms. Chal Thi and her husband focused on researching and creating products from coconut nectar, aiming to develop the traditional coconut nectar collection profession of the Khmer people, while effectively exploiting raw materials from the homeland coconut trees to start a business, aiming at the goal of protecting the health of users.

According to Ms. Thach Thi Chal Thi, the Khmer people have been collecting coconut nectar for a long time, but it is mainly exploited for home use and sale in the village, not to create products for sale on the market.

With her well-trained knowledge, Ms. Chal Thi researched and understood the nutritional indexes in coconut nectar with safety features and created the initial product of concentrated coconut nectar. The product was highly appreciated and recognized as a product of quality and food hygiene and safety. From there, she developed many more products.

Sokfarm currently has 6 organic products from coconut nectar: fresh coconut nectar, condensed coconut nectar, coconut flower sugar, coconut nectar soy sauce, fermented coconut nectar vinegar. Of which, condensed coconut nectar and coconut flower sugar products achieve 5-star OCOP.

With support from all levels and sectors, Ms. Chal Thi's coconut nectar products have been well received by consumers, expanding their consumption markets. Currently, the products have been exported to Japan, the Netherlands, the US, the EU and more than 30 provinces and cities in the country, certified as "High-quality Vietnamese goods - Integration standards" and achieved the title of typical national rural industrial products...

Ms. Chal Thi herself has also won many awards and certificates of merit at the central and provincial levels, typically: Luong Dinh Cua Award, First Prize for the rural youth startup innovation project, received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the period 2016-2021, typical innovative and creative enterprise... and most recently the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Female Entrepreneur - Golden Rose", honoring female enterprises with outstanding achievements in production, business and contribution to the sustainable development of the country.

Ms. Chal Thi shared: During the process of starting a business, production and trading, I received support and advice from all levels and sectors and achieved certain results. Sokfarm and I wish to continue expanding the market, bringing consumers quality and safe products, especially expanding the export market, affirming Vietnamese products and brands.
