Standing Committee member, Head of the Central Youth Union's Youth and Children's Affairs Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy delivered the opening speech of the exhibition.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, comrade Nguyen Kim Quy said that in the context of the country promoting industrialization - modernization and deep international integration, supporting young people, especially ethnic minority youth, to start and establish businesses is not only an immediate task, but also a long-term strategy for sustainable development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Delegates perform the opening ceremony of the exhibition to promote startup products and boost consumption of products of ethnic and mountainous youth in the Southwestern provinces.
As part of the series of activities of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has deployed in 3 regions: the Southwest, the Northwest and the Central Highlands with a total of 150 exhibition booths.
This is a bridge connecting and spreading the startup efforts of young people, bringing local products and services closer to domestic and foreign markets; an opportunity to exchange, learn and share experiences between localities, businesses, investors and young entrepreneurs.

At the same time, it is also an important initial step to form value chains, youth cooperatives, and cooperative groups linking production and consumption of products. Contributing to increasing income and improving the lives of people in border and mountainous areas.
“I hope that after the exhibition, the Youth Union at all levels, political and social organizations inside and outside the province will continue to coordinate and accompany ethnic minority youth on the path of starting a business and establishing a career. Enterprises, investors, scientists and experts should join hands to support young people in improving product quality, building brands, promoting trade and expanding consumer markets,” said Nguyen Kim Quy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth and Children's Affairs Committee, and Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union.
The exhibition fair introduces and promotes products started by young people, gathering 30 booths, displaying agricultural products, OCOP products, handicrafts, local specialties and digital technology products of young people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of the southwestern provinces.
