The event aims to pay tribute to the contributions of generations who sacrificed for the independence, freedom and peace of the Fatherland, and to honor artists who lived, fought and created in the harsh circumstances of war.

The organizers introduced 102 works including paintings, sculptures, and sketches from the museum's collection and from the works of painters and sculptors of the Liberation Fine Arts Tradition Club. The works are arranged into 4 themes: Battlefield sketches, Memories of the storm, Silent moments, and Today's perspective.

From sketches of battlefields to works depicting the brutality of war; from paintings capturing rare moments of peace on the front lines to thoughtful compositions after the war, all are pieces of time, evoking memories of a historical period that is long gone but never faded. Through the language of painting and sculpture, stories of the past are recreated through emotions, thoughts and memories.

According to Mr. Tran Minh Cong, Deputy Director in charge of the City Fine Arts Museum, this thematic exhibition is not only a journey to remind us of a special historical period, but also an opportunity for us to contemplate and appreciate the value of peace, an ideal that President Ho Chi Minh always cherished throughout his revolutionary career.
