This is an activity within the program to respond to the National Humanitarian Month 2025 with the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love" in Binh Chanh District. At the program, doctors and medical staff of Saigon Ngo Gia Tu Eye performed eye screening, examination and detected many cases of common diseases such as cataracts, myopia, glaucoma, etc. Screening helps people detect eye diseases early and have timely treatment measures.
In addition to primary vision care, the program also offers 10 free cataract surgeries and 200 gifts at the "Zero-VND Booth", helping people in difficult circumstances regain their sight, reduce economic worries, and thereby improve their quality of life.

Organized more than 70 eye examination programs for more than 10,000 people
Master Nguyen Phu Tung - Director of Saigon Ngo Gia Tu Eye Hospital said that in the past year, Saigon Ngo Gia Tu Eye Hospital has coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross to organize more than 70 eye examination programs for more than 10,000 people, supporting the cost of 860 surgeries. These efforts have helped bring light to many people in Ho Chi Minh City, focusing on the elderly and children.
"To protect eyesight, people, especially the elderly, should have regular eye exams, wear glasses with the right prescription if necessary, eat a nutritious diet (especially vitamins A, C, E and omega-3), limit screen viewing for long periods of time and avoid light that is too strong or too weak, and wear sunglasses when going out. When there are signs such as blurred vision, eye pain, frequent tearing, etc., go to a specialized medical facility for timely examination and treatment," Dr. Tung recommended.
