This year's "Children's Day June 1st" program was organized by the National Children's Hospital in Hall J with many special art performances.
Pham Hai D. (11 years old, Nam Dinh ) rested for 30 minutes after receiving the antibody injection, urging his mother to take him down to the hall to watch the art performance. Arriving late when the program had been going on for an hour, with needles still in his hand, D. did not feel any pain. He laughed happily at the magic shows, occasionally standing up to get a better look at the performers. The young mother occasionally pulled her child down to sit down because she was afraid that he would block the view of the other children.
10 months ago, D. had a seizure. The family took him straight to the National Children's Hospital for examination and were shocked to discover that he had a low-grade glioma. The tumor had many foci, so after 3 consultations with the hospital, it was still not the right time for the doctors to remove D.'s tumor.
"Every month, mother and child go to the hospital regularly, stay for 1-2 weeks to receive antibody-producing drugs because the body is resistant to the drugs, and have to receive preventive infusions. Now we can only wait for the day of surgery," said Ms. P. - D's mother.

Many children, despite having just undergone surgery, today no longer feel any pain, only joy and excitement as they watch and receive gifts. |
Pham Tuan H. (9 years old, Hung Yen) had a needle in his hand but insisted that his mother give him the phone to record the magic tricks in the program. H. was hospitalized for enteritis 2 days ago. Seeing him having a stomachache at home, afraid that he had appendicitis, H.'s family rushed him from Hung Yen straight to Hanoi to be admitted to the National Children's Hospital.
"Hearing the nurses talk about the program "Children's Day June 1st" in the hospital hall, my child asked to go down to the hall before the infusion was finished. Today, my child is healthier and no longer in pain," said H.'s mother.

The boy VM (5 years old, Van Ho, Son La) had just undergone surgery 3 days ago and his mother took him to the hall to watch an art performance to forget the pain. M. was diagnosed with thyroglossal cyst at the age of 2. The doctor said that if he did not have surgery soon, the child could have dangerous complications in the future such as hypothyroidism, thyroglossal cyst cancer...
On May 27, M. had surgery to completely remove the cyst. Holding her little boy in her arms, Ms. Vi Thi B. (the boy's mother) hoped that her son would recover soon and be discharged from the hospital soon. "I am really touched because the doctors here take care of him and treat him very wholeheartedly. Even though my son is still undergoing treatment, he is still cared for mentally like any other child. He is still tired and cannot speak yet, but he really enjoys watching the program," Ms. B. shared.
