On September 24, Thai Binh Provincial Police informed about the detention and emergency search of the Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Environment and Urban Areas Magazine.

Accordingly, through the work of grasping the situation, verifying and resolving information about crimes, on September 23, the Investigation Police Agency of Thai Binh Provincial Police issued an Order to detain people in emergency cases, an Order to urgently search the residence, workplace, and personal vehicles of:

Mr. Dong Xuan Thu (born in 1972), residing in Lang Ha ward, Dong Da district, Hanoi city - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Environment and Urban Areas Magazine, address at Office building C1 Thanh Cong, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi city.

Mr. Bui Van Toan (born in 1980), residing in Chuong Duong ward, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi city - Head of Economic Department, Vietnam Environment and Urban Magazine.

Ms. Cao Thi Thu Huong (born in 1989), residing in Ta Thanh Oai commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi city, is an Accountant, Vietnam Environment and Urban Magazine.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen (born in 1989), residing in Vu Chinh commune, Thai Binh city - reporter of Vietnam Environment and Urban Areas Magazine.

On September 24, Thai Binh Provincial Police issued an Emergency Detention Order for Mr. Nguyen Tat Trien (born 1978), residing in Tran Lam Ward, Thai Binh City, a reporter, to investigate the crime of extortion of property as prescribed in Article 170 of the Penal Code.

The above Orders have been approved by the People's Procuracy of Thai Binh province.

Currently, the Provincial Police are directing the Provincial Police Investigation Agency to urgently collect documents and evidence, consolidate files, prosecute, expand investigations, and strictly handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
