Affirming the attractiveness of the investment environment in Vietnam

With the title "Vietnam actively attracts foreign investment", the article said that in recent years, with the stable development of the economy , Vietnam has increasingly attracted the attention of foreign investors, always leading the Southeast Asian region in the field of attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).

Compared to other Southeast Asian countries, foreign investors choose Vietnam because of its advantages of stable political institutions and abundant and skilled labor force. In recent years, Vietnam's semiconductor and high-tech industries have attracted much attention from the world.

Citing data from the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment on the total newly registered, adjusted, and contributed foreign investment capital in Vietnam by January 20, 2024 (reaching more than 2.36 billion USD, up 40.2% over the same period in 2023), the author of the article assessed that Vietnam has signed free trade agreements (FTAs) with more than 60 countries around the world, has partnerships with many member countries in the G20 group, and forecasts that Vietnam's foreign investment attraction will continue to maintain good growth momentum this year and in the next period.

According to the article, the Vietnamese Government encourages foreign investors to invest and do business with the motto "The success of investors is also the success of Vietnam", creating favorable conditions for investors to develop together and benefit together, with many preferential policies on taxes, factories, labor, raw material supply, infrastructure, policies, laws, etc.

Explaining the main factors that make Vietnam an attractive destination for foreign investors, the article said that over 70% of Vietnam's population is under 35 years old and has a fairly high level of education and technical skills, creating an abundant and cheap labor force; in addition, Vietnam also has a very strong startup culture.

According to the author of the article, Vietnam has abundant natural resources, a rapidly growing consumer market and a constantly improving policy environment, creating huge market potential that investors can exploit.

The article asserts that, once an agricultural country, with agricultural and forestry cultivation accounting for 60%, in recent years, Vietnam has gradually promoted the role of the manufacturing and exporting industry of phones, computers and electronic components, the scale of the economy has continuously expanded, with a harmonious structure, an increasingly high level of openness to the outside, forming a structure with the state economy as the main sector, and economic sectors developing together.
