Khanh Hoa: "Quang Trung Campaign" builds houses for people in flood-affected areas

On December 1, in Dien Dien commune, Khanh Hoa province, under the order of the Minister of Public Security, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police organized the launching ceremony of "Quang Trung Campaign" to build houses for households whose houses collapsed due to natural disasters.

Giving the order at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Ba Thanh, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, said that the campaign simultaneously started to build 8 new houses to give to 8 households in the province whose houses collapsed, were severely damaged, and could not be lived in due to recent floods in the communes of Dien Dien, Cam Hiep, Hoa Thang, Khanh Vinh, Tay Khanh Vinh, Cong Hai, Tay Khanh Son...

Colonel Nguyen Ba Thanh emphasized that the recent floods have caused serious damage across the province. Many areas were deeply flooded, many traffic routes were paralyzed, hundreds of households lost their homes, properties and livelihoods. Dien Dien commune alone - considered the "flood center" - had 17 villages with more than 35,000 people severely affected. During the flood peak, the provincial police force organized rescue, evacuated people, ensured security and order, and kept people safe.

Immediately after the flood receded, the police force continued to work with the people: cleaning up, rebuilding walls and roofs; coordinating with the government to review damage, deploying life support, necessities, and helping students return to school.

Implementing the spirit of "Quang Trung lightning speed" under the direction of the Prime Minister , Khanh Hoa Provincial Police mobilized resources to build new houses, helping people soon have a safe place to live, stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind. Each house has an estimated cost of more than 100 million VND. The Provincial Police required construction units to ensure quality, complete and hand over houses to people before December 31, 2025.

At the launching ceremony, the Provincial Police also presented gifts from the Ministry of Public Security to 8 households.
