After the historic flood combined with high tides and big waves, the area of the four cones and the right abutment of Tran Phu bridge (from North to South) was seriously eroded, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
Currently, authorities are focusing on handling the incident as soon as possible, to restore normal traffic operations and ensure safety for the project.

According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Construction, from 11:30 p.m. on November 27, the province has temporarily banned some vehicles from passing through the bridge to serve the repair. Specifically, trucks over 2.5 tons and passenger cars over 16 seats are banned from traveling from Pham Van Dong Street through Tran Phu Bridge to the center. The opposite direction from the center through Tran Phu Bridge to Pham Van Dong Street is still running normally.

Temporary traffic diversion plan: For trucks over 2.5 tons and passenger vans over 16 seats from the North to the center: Travel along Pham Van Dong Street - Ton That Tung Street - April 2 Street - Xom Con Street - Tran Phu Street, use Xom Bong Bridge instead of Tran Phu Bridge.
For passenger vans with more than 16 seats to visit Ponagar Tower: Travel along Pham Van Dong Street - Cu Huan Street - stop to drop off/pick up passengers at 2/4 Street (area in front of Ponagar Tower or Cu Huan Street) - then follow 2/4 Street - Ton That Tung Street - Pham Van Dong Street - parking lot next to Yen Sao Restaurant.
Tran Phu Bridge was started in 1999 and completed in 2002, with a length of 458.27m, a width of 22m, and 4 lanes. This is the main connecting route between Tran Phu Street (Nha Trang Ward) and Pham Van Dong Street (North Nha Trang Ward).
