Inauguration of 4 friendly school libraries in Nghi Xuan

On the afternoon of May 13, Zhi Shan Foundation (Taiwan) in collaboration with the Center for Social Work - VocationalEducation for the Disabled in Ha Tinh and the Department of Education and Training of Nghi Xuan district held the inauguration ceremony of 4 friendly libraries at schools.

Representatives of Zhi Shan Foundation, leaders of the Department of Health and leaders of Nghi Xuan district cut the ribbon.

In 2025, Zhi Shan Foundation, through the Center for Social Work - Vocational Education for the Disabled in Ha Tinh province, supported 4 friendly libraries for Xuan Giang Kindergarten, Cuong Gian Kindergarten, Xuan Hoi Primary School, and Xuan My Primary School.

Mr. Hoang Trong Thuy - Chief Representative of Zhi shan Foundation in Vietnam: Zhi shan Foundation always strives to accompany schools to create more friendly reading, learning, and meaningful and useful playing spaces, contributing to improving the quality of education in schools.

Friendly libraries are invested with equipment with a total cost of 500 million VND; of which, the Zhi Shan Foundation project supports 378 million VND, the remaining is the counterpart fund of the schools. Libraries in primary schools are supported with funding to purchase equipment, tables and chairs and hundreds of books. In kindergartens, libraries are invested with spacious facilities with many creative learning and playing corners that always attract children during each school day.

The support project has practical significance, creating a healthy, ideal and friendly learning and playing environment; helping children develop their thinking, creativity as well as physical and language development, contributing to improving the quality of child care and education.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Nghi Xuan District People's Committee Bui Viet Hung thanked Zhi Shan Foundation for supporting 19 schools in the area to build friendly libraries in the past time. After receiving the equipment, schools need to manage and promote the effectiveness, aiming to help students have the habit of reading books to supplement their knowledge, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning and developing a reading culture in schools.
