The project to renovate and upgrade the Traditional House and the Tomb of Patriotic Scholars of Tam Ky City started in January 2025. In particular, the project to renovate the landscape of the Traditional House (area 56 - 58 Tran Cao Van) was approved by the People's Committee of Tam Ky City with a total investment of 12 billion VND, including many items to form an open park, a cultural - sports and entertainment activity spot for the community and people in the city.

Tam Ky City Traditional House started construction in 1978 and was inaugurated and put into use in 1985. This is a unique cultural institution, with special value and an important role in preserving and promoting the historical and traditional cultural values of the locality.
The traditional house currently displays documents and artifacts with more than 2,000 valuable documents; it is a place to vividly recreate the historical, cultural, social process and the glorious revolutionary struggles of the Party Committee and People of Tam Ky City through the ages.
The project of the Patriotic Martyrs' Cemetery (Ngoc My village, Tam Phu commune) was approved by the People's Committee of Tam Ky city with a total investment of 4.1 billion VND, including items such as renovating the fence and the gate; renovating the tomb and the rear temple; monument introduction stele; ceremony ground; memorial stele; lighting system and trees...
The project's goal is to complete the relic site's infrastructure to match the provincial relic site, promoting the relic's value to contribute to the local socio -economic and tourism development.
After more than 4 months of implementation, the 2 projects have been completed with a new look, ensuring both the cultural and historical values of traditional houses and the solemnity of memorial works, while also adding a number of new items and functions to meet the requirements of urban public works.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nam - Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee emphasized that the investment in cultural and historical works and relics, including the Traditional House and the Mausoleum of the city's patriotic scholars, is a gratitude and effort to foster cultural and spiritual values for Tam Ky today and tomorrow.
“The inauguration of the two projects is an important milestone in the journey of building and developing the city, a practical activity towards the 120th anniversary of the establishment of Tam Ky Palace (1906 - 2026); an opportunity for each Tam Ky child to be more proud, more loving of their homeland, more motivated to continue the precious values that have been nurtured through many generations.
The event took place at a time of special significance when Tam Ky City is entering a period of strong transformation, preparing to implement a two-level local government model. In that context, more than ever, we need a spiritual support, a cultural mettle to firmly enter the new era of the nation" - Mr. Nam said.
The tomb of patriotic scholars in Tam Ky city was recognized by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province and ranked as a provincial historical relic in 2020. The relic is the resting place of patriotic scholars: Nguyen Thuoc, Tran Thu, Trinh Uyen, Luong Dinh Thuc, Tran Can - outstanding sons of the homeland, a shining symbol of heroism.
Previously, these relics were located separately in different locations. In 2012, Tam Ky City People's Committee gathered the remains of patriotic scholars' graves and invested in building a mausoleum in Ngoc My village, Tam Phu commune.
To be worthy of a provincial-level relic, synchronize infrastructure at the project, contribute to the socio-economic development, local tourism and promote the value of the relic, in 2024, the City People's Committee decided to renovate it to become a sacred memorial space.
On this occasion, the delegates also offered incense at the historical site of Quang Phu Pagoda Mountain (Phu Thanh village, Tam Phu commune) - one of the places associated with the history of revolutionary struggle of the Party Committee and People of Tam Ky City.
