The Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command has just held an award ceremony for outstanding achievements for the force participating in the arrest of the illegal transportation of 18 kg of gold from Cambodia across the border into Vietnam.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 15, at the trail area, about 100m from the Vietnam - Cambodia border, the Working Group of the Vam Trang Trau Border Guard Station presided over, coordinated with the Southern Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force and the Economic Police Department (Tay Ninh Police) to discover 02 people crossing the border from Cambodia into Vietnam with suspicious signs. When discovering the task force, these 02 people took advantage of the darkness to flee to the other side of the border, leaving behind 01 motorbike, 18 gold-colored metal bars, total weight of about 18kg.

The entire amount of metal is pure gold.

On the same day, the Vam Trang Trau Border Guard Station decided to prosecute the case of "Illegal transportation of goods across the border"; at the same time, the case file was transferred to the Investigation Police Agency ( Tay Ninh Provincial Police) for investigation according to its authority.
