New momentum in Muong Coi

After the merger, Muong Coi commune has an area of 194.98 km² and a population of 19,557 people. Compared to other communes in the Phu Yen area, Muong Coi has a favorable geographical location, high education level, sustainable agriculture , relatively complete infrastructure, convenient transportation, and is a hub for goods transit in and out of the province.

Entering operation under the new model, Muong Coi commune authorities coordinated to conduct a general survey of rural and agricultural areas, collecting comprehensive information on the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector. According to preliminary results, the commune has about 600 hectares of citrus fruit trees, of which 350 hectares have been harvested, with an output of nearly 5,000 tons/year; 1,400 hectares of grain crops and nearly 4,000 hectares of grass serving the raising of about 10,000 buffaloes, cows, goats and horses.

Mr. Phan Ngoc Linh, Chairman of Muong Coi Commune People's Committee, said: In the 2025-2030 term, the commune determined to continue promoting the achievements of new rural construction of the 3 old communes, developing the economy appropriately, improving people's lives. Agriculture is still the main economic sector, associated with the development of agricultural tourism. At the same time, the infrastructure will be reviewed and upgraded to serve development.

Immediately after its inauguration, the Muong Coi Commune Party Committee directed the Commune People's Committee to effectively operate the Public Administration Service Center, ensuring quick and neat handling of administrative procedures for the people. The main procedures handled include: Authentication, registration and transfer of land use rights, construction, business registration, etc. Up to now, 100% of the staff and civil servants at the Center have proficiently performed the procedures. From the beginning of July until now, on average, about 20 citizens have come to do procedures every day.

Mr. Dinh The Huyen, Deputy Director of Muong Coi Commune Public Administration Center, said: 100% of procedures are handled through the public service portal, but people are not yet familiar with the operation. The center assigned civil servants to guide people on how to scan documents in PDF format and submit them online. After a few times of doing it, people understood the process, making work more convenient.

Besides the advantages, Muong Coi commune has encountered difficulties in terms of headquarters and lack of working rooms when putting into operation the 2-level government model. To overcome this, the commune has flexibly arranged temporary working space and encouraged cadres and civil servants to strive to complete their tasks.

After the successful 1st Muong Coi Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, the Commune Party Committee quickly stabilized the organizational structure and oriented local economic development to concretize the proposed breakthroughs.

Along with that, effectively reform administrative procedures associated with digital transformation and build a friendly government model. Accelerate the conversion of the entire administrative procedure settlement process to a digital platform; effectively deploy online public services in part and in full, improving people's satisfaction in handling administrative procedures.
