The event is part of Pho Week in Europe, organized by We Love Pho Association, in response to Pho Day 12-12 - an initiative initiated by Tuoi Tre newspaper for many years.
Pho tells the story of a nation overcoming difficulties while still maintaining its identity.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese - shared that since Resolution 36 was issued 20 years ago, the committee has always strived to be a "bridge" between the overseas Vietnamese community and the Fatherland.
Promoting cultural heritage, especially culinary culture, of which Pho is a typical representative, is a simple but effective and most sustainable way to carry out this mission of solidarity.
"Pho is a dish that is both useful, delicious, nutritious, and full of the Vietnamese spirit, telling the story of a nation that overcomes all difficulties, is always flexible, always adapts, and maintains its identity in all circumstances," he said.
According to Ms. Le Thi Thiet - President of the Ninh Binh Province Culinary Culture Association, pho is not just a simple dish, but a "memory dish", a symbol of the Fatherland for Vietnamese people living abroad.
The goal of Pho Week is to turn every Vietnamese living far away into an ambassador to bring the image of Vietnam closer to international friends.

Taking place simultaneously in many restaurants and eateries across Europe
Mr. Mai Hai Lam - Chairman of We Love Pho Association - informed that Pho Week is one of the Association's impressive campaigns with the mission of connecting pho lovers and Vietnamese cuisine (from chefs to businessmen to diners), preserving and promoting the quintessence of Vietnamese pho, bridging tradition and modernity, Vietnamese culture and the world .
The biggest difference of European Pho Week is that it is not held at a centralized location, but takes place simultaneously at the businesses of the participants (restaurants, food stores, etc.).
Within the framework of the program, the overseas Vietnamese community and international friends can visit business locations to have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of pho dishes such as traditional beef pho, chicken pho, pho cuon, pho tron, pho chay... along with many modern variations suitable for international tastes.
Participating units are encouraged to create spaces to display images and documents about the history of the formation and development of Vietnamese pho; simulate a rustic pho stall in Vietnam; perform live pho cooking; interact with famous artisans and chefs...
