On the morning of November 25, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province, term 2025-2030, officially held its session.
The Congress has the theme "Promoting the strength of great national unity; strengthening democracy and social consensus; arousing confidence and aspiration for innovation, building Lam Dong province to develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a dynamic growth pole in the era of national advancement ".
In her opening speech, comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, said that in the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province has promoted its core role in building the great national unity bloc , effectively implementing emulation movements and major campaigns. Many innovative models have spread strongly, contributing positively to socio-economic development and strengthening the local political system.
He emphasized that in recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province has carried out two important tasks in parallel, both implementing a new organizational model towards streamlining, effective and efficient operations ; and guiding and directing the successful organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at commune, ward and special zone levels in the whole province. The unanimity and cooperation of all levels, sectors, agencies, organizations and people of all walks of life in all circumstances continue to affirm the role of the Fatherland Front in promoting democracy, building great solidarity, actively participating in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building a clean and strong Party and political system.
In recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, and Dak Nong, now Lam Dong province, has made efforts to overcome difficulties and focused on implementing the targets and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Provincial Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term.
In the period of 2024-2025, the whole province mobilized people to contribute money, working days, donate land, build public welfare works, such as building and repairing more than 7,000 houses for the poor, completing the target of eliminating temporary houses and dilapidated houses; more than 109 billion VND to take care of Tet for poor households; more than 27 billion VND for the Gratitude Fund, more than 65.7 billion VND for the Education Promotion Fund; more than 185 billion VND to help people inside and outside the province overcome natural disasters and calamities.
During the recent flood, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province received, advised, and promptly allocated 34 billion VND to support the provinces and 30.2 billion VND to 25 communes and wards in the locality, each commune from 500 million VND to 2 billion VND...
In the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province set out 12 specific targets and 7 action programs. In particular, the general goal is determined: Continue to promote the strength of national solidarity, enhance the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in mobilizing and rallying people; innovate the organization, content, and methods of operation, implement democracy, strengthen social consensus; arouse the tradition of patriotism, trust, and aspirations of the people, contributing to building Lam Dong province to develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a dynamic growth pole in the era of national development.
Within the framework of the first working session of the congress, the first meeting of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, term I, was held to elect comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, term I, to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, term 2025-2030.
The conference also conducted consultations and unanimously elected 11 Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, term I, including comrades: Pham Trieu, Ha Thi Hanh, Nguyen Phu Hoang, Truong Van Tung, H'Vi Eban, Truong Minh Quang, Duong Cong Hiep, Pham Van Duc, Bon Yo Soan, Nguyen Phu Nghi, Do Thi Que Phuong.
