The Rise of the Khoan Du

In the atmosphere of celebrating the Party and Spring, we visited the "red address" of Hoang Dong village, Khoan Du commune (Lac Thuy), where the first Communist Party organization of the province was established. Proud of 94 springs with the Party, the Party Committee, the government and the people in the commune continuing to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition, solidarity, and building the homeland to develop more and more.

The traffic system of Khoan Du commune (Lac Thuy) has been invested in and built to meet the travel and goods exchange needs of the people.

According to historical documents, after the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded (February 3, 1930), under the leadership of the Party, the revolutionary movement developed widely throughout the country. Implementing the policy of developing revolutionary bases, the Thanh Khe - Trung Tru Party cell (Gia Khanh district) assigned comrade Hoang Tuong to work on establishing bases in Hoang Dong village (today's Khoan Du commune). After a period of enthusiastic activities, on December 1, 1930, the Hoang Dong Party Cell (under the Thanh Khe - Trung Tru Party cell) was established with 5 party members: Vu Han, Vu So, Nen, Ngoc and Hoang Tuong; comrade Hoang Tuong directly served as the cell leader, this was the first communist organization established in Hoa Binh.

Since then, the heroic revolutionary tradition from those who laid the first foundation for the local Party grassroots organization has been continued and matured by generations. With the characteristics of a commune where over 90% of the population is Catholic, in recent times, the Khoan Du Commune Party Committee has made efforts to implement the targets set out in the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term with specific and practical actions, focusing on economic development, increasing income, stabilizing life, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction for the people.

Currently, Khoan Du Commune Party Committee has 245 party members, operating in 10 subordinate party cells, including 6 rural party cells, 2 school party cells, 1 health station party cell and 1 commune police party cell . The commune Party Committee continues to direct all cadres, party members and people to implement Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee (term XII) in conjunction with Directive No. 05 of the Politburo according to the annual topic. 100% of party members register to study, including it as one of the criteria for evaluating, reviewing and classifying the quality of party members every year.

The Commune Party Committee focuses on leading the people to exploit local potentials and strengths to promote socio-economic development. The leadership of the Commune Party Committee helps economic development to flourish. In 2023, the total production value of the commune reached 268,250 million VND; average income per capita reached 71.6 million VND; the poverty rate was 8.96%; 100% of residential areas achieved cultural status; over 88% of households achieved cultural family status...

In building new rural areas, the commune continues to improve criteria and residential areas according to new criteria for the period 2022 - 2025. There are 4/6 villages achieving model residential areas (Hoang Dong, Lien Son, Lien Hong 1, Roc Tru 1).

The commune has well implemented preferential policies for ethnic minority areas. Catholics and people of all ethnic groups strictly follow the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, promoting the spirit of respecting God and patriotism in association with building the cultural life of residential areas.

Comrade Bui Thanh Tong, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee emphasized: Following the revolutionary tradition, under the leadership of the Party, in the coming time, the Commune Party Committee will continue to comprehensively and effectively lead, direct and operate the fields of socio-economic development, national defense - security, and build a strong political system. Improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda and political and ideological education to contribute to raising awareness and viewpoints for cadres, party members and people. Promote administrative reform, improve the management and operation efficiency of the government, sectors, and the capacity of cadres and civil servants. Continue to strengthen management activities; promote investment attraction in all fields, creating momentum for socio-economic development.
