Diverse and widespread in the community

In recent years, under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, the support and cooperation of agencies, enterprises and sponsors, the Phu Tho Provincial Association for Promoting Education has been promoting the Association's activities, focusing on improving the quality of the movement to promote learning and talent. The widespread development of all levels of associations for promoting learning and talent in the province has continuously raised the awareness of the whole society about the role of promoting learning and talent, focusing on improving the quality of building a learning society, lifelong learning movements and effectively organizing activities to promote learning in localities, accompanying and helping students in Phu Tho province achieve their dreams.

According to the assessment of the Associations at all levels, up to now, the Phu Tho Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education has 13 district-level Associations, 8 affiliated Associations and Boards for the Promotion of Education; 225 commune-level Associations; 6,355 branches and Boards for the Promotion of Education; 579,134 members, accounting for 41.3% of the population. Therefore, Phu Tho is one of the localities with the highest rate of membership in the country. Taking the core of the promotion of education from individuals, families, clans, and communities, the Associations at all levels have widely and effectively implemented the models of "Learning Families"; "Learning Clans"; "Learning Communities"; "Learning Units"; "Learning Citizens"...

Speaking at the 5th Congress of Delegates of the Phu Tho Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, term 2023-2028 (held on December 28, 2023), Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - Former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, President of the Vietnam Association for Promotion of Education acknowledged and commended the results of the promotion of education in Phu Tho province over the past 5 years. At the same time, she affirmed that the promotion of education and talents of Phu Tho province with diverse and practical programs and activities has been making an important contribution to building a learning society, improving the qualityof education and training, and helping students of the Homeland to dream.

In order for the study promotion work and the focus on the study promotion and talent promotion movement to spread widely, in recent years, the Phu Tho province's study promotion associations at all levels have well organized the study promotion emulation movement associated with the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life", "Building new rural areas/civilized urban areas" and patriotic emulation movements. The Association's Executive Committee has regularly directed the Associations at all levels in the province to diversify the forms of mobilizing agencies, units, enterprises, religious organizations, philanthropists, members and people to effectively participate in education support programs such as: "Shelter for study promotion", "Tet for poor students"; "Tet of love - Spring of study promotion"; "Awarding 1+n scholarships", "Nguyet Tri scholarships"; supporting funding for training excellent students; "Shelter for study promotion"; "Book library"; "Bookcase for study promotion"; "Building a green library"; "Study bookcase"; "Pray for the people's intelligence"...

Meaningful and humane numbers for encouraging learning

The work of building and developing scholarship funds at all levels has been maintained and developed, contributing actively and effectively to supporting educational activities inside and outside schools. In Phu Tho province, there have been many types of scholarship funds operating effectively such as:“Land of Ancestral Land Fund for Encouragement of Learning and Talents”; the fund for encouragement of learning of the provincial, district, city, town and commune, ward and township Associations for Encouragement of Learning. According to the assessment, most of the branches and committees for encouragement of learning have built a fund for encouragement of learning with an average balance of 20-100 million VND. The movement to build a fund for encouragement of learning in the family has developed strongly with many models such as “Grapefruit tree for encouragement of learning”; “Peach tree for encouragement of learning”; “Vegetable garden for encouragement of learning”. The movement “Saving by raising plastic pigs for encouragement of learning” has saved 189,536 million VND, the fund for encouragement of learning in the province currently reaches 208.8 billion VND.

From the practice of organizing learning promotion programs, in recent years, the Association has mobilized support for education development with a total value of 898.56 million VND, contributing to the Education Sector in overcoming difficulties, stabilizing the scale, continuing to consolidate and maintain the results of universal education, improving the quality of mass and key education. At the same time, the Association at all levels has awarded 430,609 gifts and scholarships; presented 23 "Learning Promotion Shelters"; 30 "Learning Promotion Cows"; built 09 schools, 02 intellectual bridges for disadvantaged areas; presented 963 computers; 04 bookshelves for learning promotion, 255 bicycles, 70,020 notebooks and many pants, shirts, blankets;... Awarded 1,518,921 teachers, students.

Let your dreams fly high and far

Every year, in addition to the activities to encourage learning, the program "Wings of Dreams" is a highlight organized by the Provincial Association for Promoting Learning and the District Associations for Promoting Learning after the end of the school year. The program has awarded thousands of scholarships and prizes to students with especially difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies. At the same time, it honors and rewards teachers and students with outstanding achievements in teaching and learning at schools at all levels. Many students with difficult family circumstances, especially difficult circumstances, thanks to the support of the program "Wings of Dreams" have more motivation and confidence to overcome difficulties, study well, and realize their noble dreams.

Through 5 times of organizing the "Wings of Dreams" Program to honor the study encouragement and talent encouragement of the Land of Ancestors, the Study Encouragement and Talent Encouragement Fund of the Land of Ancestors has awarded and supported 1+n scholarships with a total value of 12,935 million VND. The Association has had many activities to share and encourage poor students in the provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai , Son La, Lai Chau, Ha Giang... From the results achieved in the study encouragement and talent encouragement work, the Phu Tho Provincial Study Encouragement Association has been continuously evaluated by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Study Encouragement Association as an excellent unit, leading the whole country and has been awarded many Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit by the Emulation and Reward Councils at all levels.

Phi Thi Hong Luu, a student of class 12A6, Ha Hoa High School (Ha Hoa), has received the 1+n scholarship from the Phu Tho Province Association for Promotion of Education for two consecutive years. She shared: “I am a student with a particularly difficult family situation. My father died in an accident. My family is poor. My mother works hard to raise my two children. Receiving the 1+n scholarship has helped my family and me ease our difficulties and give me more motivation to study hard. In the past two school years, I have achieved the title of excellent student and won two provincial-level Geography awards.”

In the process of organizing the movement to encourage learning and talent, many agencies, businesses and sponsors have regularly accompanied the Phu Tho Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning. These include the Provincial Buddhist Sangha with the “Nguyet Tri” Scholarship Fund; JNTC Vina Company Limited with the “JNTC Scholarship - For studious children” Fund; Viettel Phu Tho with the “For studious children” Program... That companionship has been contributing to creating motivation and quality for the movement to encourage learning and talent in the whole Phu Tho province.

(A unit accompanying the study promotion work of Phu Tho province) when speaking at the program "Wings of Dreams" in 2023, Ha Hoa district (Phu Tho) expressed: "Our company operates in Phu Tho province, realizing that there are many students with especially difficult circumstances, we have organized scholarships with the desire to accompany and join hands with them to strive to study and realize their dreams".

It can be affirmed that the work of encouraging learning and talent in Phu Tho province has been creating a strong spread in social life, contributing significantly to raising awareness and the importance of encouraging learning and talent in the community. Through practical activities with profound humanistic meanings, aimed at schools and students, the sustainable and positive values of the work of encouraging learning have helped to raise the steps to school, supporting the knowledge of generations of students. From there, it has aroused the spirit of studiousness and ignited the simple but noble dreams of students in the Ancestral Land, students who always carry within themselves the desire to overcome difficulties, strive to practice well, study well to establish a career tomorrow./.
