Every year-end, traders from all over transport ornamental plants to gather on both sides of Tran Hung Dao Street (Hue City) to sell. This year, ornamental plants on the street are quite diverse, with many varieties such as peach, kumquat, grapefruit, apricot, etc., so people have many options to buy for Tet.

Realizing the bustling market for buying and selling ornamental plants, many freelance workers have seized the opportunity to work as ornamental plant transporters. Although this job only lasts about 10 days, it also helps them earn extra income to spend during Tet.

Along Tran Hung Dao Street, dozens of workers bring their rickshaws here to serve the demand for hiring people to transport flowers and ornamental plants home.

People carrying flowers and ornamental plants are always in a "race" to serve customers during the days before Tet.

Goods poured in, the women hired to load the goods worked tirelessly.

For many days now, Mr. Le Van Tuan (59 years old, Hue City) has been driving his cyclo to Tran Hung Dao Street to transport flowers and ornamental plants. "Each time I transport, I am paid from 100,000 to 200,000 VND. In addition to the task of transporting ornamental plants, I also have to ensure that the plants are planted and placed in the location requested by the homeowner," Mr. Tuan added.

Amid the cold weather of the last days of the year, these women still wear thin shirts soaked with sweat.

The "Tet" buses home are running smoothly on the road.

According to flower transporters, the weather has been nice these past few days so the number of customers buying flowers for Tet has been quite high. They can earn over a million dong a day.

“Every day I go to town to deliver ornamental plants from 6am and return home at around 11pm. These days I make 6-7 trips, earning about 1 million VND/day,” Linh shared.

Trucks carrying ornamental plants travel all over the streets to "bring Tet" home to people. Although it is hard work, the workers are excited because they contribute to bringing joy to every home.
