(Baoquangngai.vn) - On the afternoon of June 13, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien inspected the actual work of dismantling houses, architectural objects, and handing over construction sites for the North-South expressway, eastern section, phase 2021 - 2025, through Tu Nghia district.

At the same time, the government was directed to focus on supporting people to relocate their houses and build temporary houses to live in while building new houses; promptly implement the allocation of land to people in resettlement areas according to regulations. Regarding the relocation of power infrastructure, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien requested Quang Ngai Electricity Company to coordinate with related units to promptly remove and clean the ground for construction.
Reporting at the scene, Chairman of Tu Nghia District People's Committee Nguyen Dang Vinh said that currently, Tu Nghia District has only 3 households (area of 0.16 ha/5 plots/7 houses) that have not agreed to receive compensation and have not handed over the site. From now until June 15, the district will continue to implement synchronous solutions to ensure the final handover of the site to the investor and construction unit.

For the 16 households that have received money but have not yet handed over the land, the District People's Committee continues to mobilize and support the transportation of assets for people to the resettlement area. Tu Nghia District commits to completing 100% of the land handover before June 25 to serve the construction of the expressway.
Tu Nghia district is one of four localities with the North-South expressway construction project in the eastern part, phase 2021 - 2025, passing through, with a main route length of nearly 4.8km; total area of nearly 38ha. As of May 31, the whole district still had 38 households/80 houses in Nghia Ky commune that had not received money and had not handed over the site. The district issued a plan to organize a 30-day sprint competition for the North-South expressway (from June 1 to 30) with the participation of the entire political system, determined to complete land acquisition and hand over the site before June 30. After 13 days of implementing the plan, 35/38 households had demolished their houses and handed over the site.
