At the above facilities, the delegation inspected the management of drugs subject to special control; the maintenance of compliance with Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) such as personnel, facilities, techniques, drug storage equipment, records, books and professional documents of drug retail facilities; pharmacy activities such as buying and selling, posting prices, selling drugs according to prescriptions, etc.
As of May 11, the delegation inspected 15 drugstores and pharmacies in Bao Thang and Muong Khuong districts, Sa Pa town and Lao Cai city. Thereby, they fined 5 establishments for violations with a total of 49 million VND; made records of administrative violations against a number of establishments, and transferred them to the Chief Inspector of the Department of Health for punishment according to regulations.

Along with the inspection work, the delegation also propagated and required establishments to sign a commitment not to trade in counterfeit goods, smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin; to implement price listing and regulations on conditions for trading in modern medicine.
In the coming time, the Department of Health will continue to strengthen the inspection of drug retail and business establishments; strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate the law to contribute to ensuring the quality of drugs and medical supplies in the province.
