In the play Ly Thuong Kiet , artist Kim Tu Long plays the role of Ly Thuong Kiet, and Binh Tinh plays the role of the martial artist - Prince Chieu Van.
Those who are addicted to reformed opera are probably familiar with the play "The Poem of the Horse Saddle" . It mentions the story of when Ly Thuong Kiet led his army to fight off the Song army at the Nhu Nguyet River, the two princes Chieu Van and Hoang Chan fought alongside him in this battle.
The enemy was numerous, so Ly Thuong Kiet wanted to hold his troops still and plan a strategy. However, Chieu Van and Hoang Chan, in their haste to defeat the enemy, disobeyed the Duke's orders, leading to painful consequences.

In addition to Ly Thuong Kiet's opera, the program on the evening of April 27 also had many performances sharing the joy of celebrating half a century of peace in the country.
The audience was moved to tears when listening to the song " The durian blooms again" (music: Thanh Tung, vọng cổ: Hoang Song Viet) performed by artists Trong Huu and Thanh Ngan.
This scene reminds people of the famous revolutionary play The Durian Tree Blossoms by the City Art Troupe. The play was staged right after the liberation day and was performed to serve the Party Congress in Hanoi around 1976.
After that, the play toured everywhere, each performance was packed with audiences for several years. When Trong Huu - Thanh Ngan sang: "Wait for me to come back / I will wait for you with confidence", the emotions of the Durian tree blooming in the past kept coming back to the audience...
