Swimmer Anh Vien and more than 800 athletes swim in Nha Trang Bay

The Nha Trang Sea Swimming Tournament attracted the participation of more than 800 athletes. Among them was swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien.

On the morning of June 21, the first competition day of the Seastar Nha Trang Bay 2025 sea swimming tournament began at Tran Phu beach (Nha Trang city) with distances of 500m, 1km, 2km and 500mx3. This is one of the sports activities within the framework of the Nha Trang Sea Culture - Tourism Festival 2025.

According to the Organizing Committee, the SeaStar Nha Trang Bay 2025 Sea Swimming Tournament is not only a sports competition but also an international cultural and sports event.

The tournament aims to raise public awareness of health, promote sports and physical exercise, as well as promote tourism and develop the marine economy .

This year’s swimming competition has the participation of more than 800 athletes from 25 countries. Among them is famous swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien. In this year’s competition, Anh Vien participated in the 5km distance on the second day of competition (June 22).

At the competition, athletes competed enthusiastically in different distances amid the cheers of the audience. The advantage belonged to foreign athletes who had experience in sea swimming competitions.

Warming up to prepare for the competition, Le Hoang Nhat Thong (10 years old, from Ho Chi Minh City) said this was the second time he participated in the sea swimming competition in Nha Trang.

"Last year I participated in the 500m distance, after 1 year of training, this year I confidently registered to compete in the 1km distance. Today the sea is calm so it is very favorable for the competition, my distance has many young people so I will try my best to complete my competition" - Thong shared.

The Seastar Nha Trang Bay 2025 swimming tournament will take place on June 22 with distances of 5km and 10km.
