Commemorating the 206th anniversary of Karl Marx's birth (May 5, 1818

The life and ideological legacy of Karl Marx (May 5, 1818 - March 14, 1883) as well as his doctrine have entered human history and have had a great influence in all eras. VI Lenin stated that the essential point of Marx's doctrine is to illuminate the world historical role of the working class as the builder of socialism to replace capitalist society.

When studying history and social life, Marx and his doctrine originated from real people, with practical activities becoming the driving force for social movement and development. The theory of Marxism-Leninism has become a worldview, methodology, and a guiding prism for the working class and communist movements around the world, fighting for national liberation, eliminating the regime of man exploiting man, and moving towards the successful construction of socialism.

Inheriting the rational core of previous thinkers, summarizing the achievements of humanity, with profound wisdom and noble humanistic spirit, Marx and his great friend - Friedrich Engels built the viewpoint on building a developed and happy society in a scientific and revolutionary way.

Those viewpoints still have profound theoretical, practical and contemporary significance, becoming important orientations for the Communist Party of Vietnam to study and apply to arouse the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.

President Ho Chi Minh once pointed out: "Only socialism and communism can liberate oppressed peoples and workers around the world from slavery", "national liberation revolution must develop into socialist revolution to achieve complete victory".

Since then, Marxism-Leninism has been propagated, educated and creatively applied to the Vietnamese revolutionary practice, winning victory in the August Revolution in 1945, completely liberating the South, unifying the country in 1975, maintaining Vietnam's sovereignty over its borders and islands and building socialism.

The great and historically significant achievements in nearly 40 years of renovation continue to affirm the creative and correct application of Marxism-Leninism by the Communist Party of Vietnam to the specific conditions of our country, which is the premise and prerequisite for successfully building socialism with Vietnamese identity, successfully realizing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.

Up to now, Marxism-Leninism is still an important theoretical system in the revolutionary strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam to firmly pursue the goal of building socialism and developing a prosperous and happy country.

Marxism-Leninism has explained in detail the laws that create driving forces for economic and social development such as the law of production relations consistent with the development level of productive forces, the law of dialectical relations between infrastructure and superstructure, between economy and politics, the law of social revolution... These are all important social laws that contribute to promoting the country's economic development, creating great strides contributing to economic growth.

Marxism is a solid foundation for the Communist Party of Vietnam to set out the path of national renewal, perfect the socialist-oriented market economic institution, and exploit all the country's resources to the fullest. On the basis of harmoniously resolving the economic interests of each social class, thereby creating motivation to promote the self-awareness and positivity of workers, liberating productive forces to promote economic development. Constantly diversifying types of distribution, innovating economic structures to improve quality, efficiency and competitiveness, creating an important driving force for national development.

Marx once pointed out the necessity of building a proletarian state in the transitional period to socialism: “Between capitalist and communist society lies a period of revolutionary transformation from one society to the other. Adapting to that period is a period of political transition, and the state of that period can be nothing other than the revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat.”

Our current state is a socialist rule-of-law state, with many efforts in performing the function of social management according to the law and organizing the people to carry out the cause of innovation. Gradually perfecting the legal system, organizational apparatus, staff of civil servants, public employees and operating mechanisms, especially applying the digital transformation process to contribute to the implementation of the goals in building and perfecting the current socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam.

To build a prosperous and happy country, the issue of human resources must be emphasized. Marx once emphasized: "Of all the instruments of production, the most powerful productive force is the revolutionary class itself."

Applying the correct viewpoint of Marxism-Leninism on the role of human resources in the revolutionary cause, the Party and State of Vietnam pay great attention to education and training, science and technology, medical work, health care, improving the physical strength and stature of Vietnamese people, strengthening ideological and revolutionary ethics education for all classes and strata of Vietnamese people. Identifying the revolutionary class as the alliance of workers, farmers, intellectuals, businessmen and other honest workers under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Marxism clearly states that people create culture through conscious and purposeful activities in social life to transform and innovate to make life better. Culture is created by the masses to improve the quality of life. In the cause of building socialism, the Party and State of Vietnam always attach importance to and develop culture.

The 13th Party Congress clearly stated: "Developing comprehensive human beings and building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity so that Vietnamese culture and people truly become an endogenous strength, a driving force for national development and national defense".

On the economic front, Marxism-Leninism creates an important foundation to improve people's lives and Vietnam's position in the international arena; fight against poverty and backwardness to continue developing a socialist-oriented market economy; build and implement solutions to promote economic growth while ensuring social equality, justice and social security, and fight against all economic sabotage by hostile forces...

In terms of politics, ideology and culture: Persistently maintain solidarity and unanimity within the Party and the spirit of national solidarity, ensure the Party's leadership role and socialist orientation, protect the Party's ideological foundation, resolutely fight and refute false and hostile arguments, anti-cultural manifestations, fight against corruption, waste, degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the Party and in each cadre and Party member...

To successfully build socialism, the Party and the Vietnamese people must always maintain the steadfastness of revolutionary goals and ideals, and maintain political and social stability. Lenin once affirmed: “We do not consider Marx's theory as something that is completely finished and inviolable; on the contrary, we believe that this theory only lays the foundation for the science that socialists must further develop in all aspects, if they do not want to become backward in life”. Therefore, in the current period, it is necessary to continuously inherit, supplement, and select the scientific theoretical contents of Marxism-Leninism.

Strengthening the protection of Marxism-Leninism, protecting the ideological foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Fostering and educating political theory in general, Marxism-Leninism in particular for cadres, party members and people, linking theory with practice, overcoming dogmatism in research and study of theory... Thereby creating important and necessary premises and theoretical foundations to contribute to building and developing a stable, prosperous and happy Vietnam.
