Celebrating the 94th anniversary of the Propaganda Sector's traditional day (August 1, 1930)

During his revolutionary career, President Ho Chi Minh paid special attention to the work of propagating Marxism-Leninism, revolutionary ideology and guidelines into the country, among the people, especially the elite. And it was his activities that laid the first foundation for the Party's propaganda and education work; shaping the mission of going ahead and paving the way for propaganda work in the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

1. On August 1, 1930, on the occasion of the International Day of Struggle Against Imperialist War and for the Protection of Peace, the Party's Propaganda and Agitation Committee published the document "International Red Day, August 1". After its publication, the document "International Red Day, August 1" created a great resonance, strongly encouraging the patriotic masses to rise up to fight against imperialism, oppression, exploitation, oppose the war of aggression, and support the national liberation movement; in just a very short time (from August to October 1930), hundreds of rallies and revolutionary demonstrations of our people broke out with new momentum and character. The position, role and strength of propaganda work - a form of ideological work of the Party - were affirmed and entered the history of the Vietnamese revolution. Since then, August 1, 1930 marked the official operation of the Party's Agitation and Propaganda Department - the predecessor of today's Central Propaganda Department. With the special significance of this historical event, in 2000, the Politburo of the Party Central Committee (VIII tenure) decided to take August 1 every year as the Traditional Day of the Party's Ideological and Cultural Work. Over 94 years of construction, growth and development, under the direct and comprehensive leadership and direction of the Party, generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Propaganda sector have always been absolutely loyal to the Party's revolutionary cause, devoted to their work, constantly cultivating themselves in all aspects, worthy of being a reliable force, always pioneering on the Party's ideological and propaganda front. Through all revolutionary periods, the more arduous, difficult, dangerous and complicated, the more those who do propaganda work are forged in a steadfast political stance, calm, alert, innovative and creative to excellently complete the assigned tasks. And it is from those difficulties and arduous challenges that the fine tradition of the Propaganda sector has been forged, which is: Loyal, steadfast, wholeheartedly attached to the Party and the revolution, united, creative, wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the People.

2. In Binh Thuan, it can be affirmed that in recent years, the Propaganda sector has focused on completing a very large and diverse amount of work, with significantly improved quality and efficiency; some aspects have achieved good quality, recognized and highly appreciated by the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, cadres, party members and people. The Propaganda sector has fulfilled its role and responsibility well, contributing to creating solidarity and unity within the Party, consensus among the people to effectively implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. Proactively and effectively advising on many new issues, helping the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to promptly direct and orient political ideology and public opinion in the face of complicated developments, especially for "hot" issues, "complicated" and "sensitive" issues that many cadres, party members and people are interested in. Effectively carry out political theoryeducation , protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against and refute false, hostile, and anti-Party and anti-State information and viewpoints, with the spirit of closely linking "building" and "fighting", in which "building" is fundamental, "fighting" must be resolute and effective... Thereby contributing to building and rectifying the Party to become increasingly clean and strong.

Carrying forward the 94-year tradition, the Propaganda sector will be highly determined, make great efforts, and excellently complete its tasks in the new period. Each cadre and party member of the Propaganda sector is always worthy of being a soldier on the Party's propaganda front, as President Ho Chi Minh once advised, to contribute to the revolutionary cause initiated and led by the Party.
