High School Graduation Exam 2025: History is the subject most chosen by candidates

The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the number of candidates registered for the 2025 high school graduation exam by subject.

Among the elective subjects, History was the most chosen by candidates with 499,357 candidates. Of these, 484,084 candidates took the exam under the 2018 GeneralEducation Program and 15,273 candidates took the exam under the 2006 General Education Program.

The subject with the second highest number of candidates is Geography with 494,081 candidates (479,585 according to the 2018 General Education Program; 14,496 according to the 2006 General Education Program).

Next is English, with 358,870 candidates. Other subjects such as Physics have 354,298 candidates choosing; Economic and Legal Education 247,248 candidates; Chemistry 246,700 candidates...

Nearly 1.17 million candidates registered for the 2025 high school graduation exam. Of these, more than 96.3% were 12th graders of the 2018 General Education Program and nearly 3.7% were independent candidates.
