Bank interest rates on March 28 had important adjustments from major banks, especially banks in the big 4 group.
Agribank has reduced deposit interest rates at the counter from 0.1% to 0.2% for short terms from 1-5 months.
Interest rates for 1-2 month deposits at the counter decreased to 2.1%/year, while those for 3-5 month deposits decreased to 2.4%/year.
For longer terms, Agribank's deposit interest rates remain stable. Specifically, the interest rate for terms of 6-11 months remains at 3.5%/year; the interest rate for terms of 12-18 months remains at 4.7%/year; and the interest rate for terms of 24 months remains at 4.8%/year.
BIDV and VietinBank also made adjustments in March 2025. Both banks reduced online deposit interest rates for long-term terms from 24 months.
