The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just announced a plan to organize a city-level competition for excellent preschool teachers with the theme "Talented Teachers" for preschool teachers at independent preschool education institutions (groups of children, kindergarten groups, independent preschool classes) in the 2023-2024 school year.

It is known that this is the first time the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has organized a city-level competition for excellent teachers in independent preschool education facilities (groups of children, independent kindergarten classes).

Teachers compete in all 4 professional clusters of the city, each cluster has 18 teachers. The conditions for participation are that preschool teachers directly teach at independent preschools, have qualified qualifications according to regulations, have good moral qualities, professional capacity and ability to organize and manage classes, are highly appreciated by parents and colleagues, and are confirmed by preschools.

Exam content includes:

• Round 1: Teachers submit articles and photos about solutions to build an environment to organize activities to nurture, care for, and educate children, up to 20 pages.
  
• Round 2: Teachers choose 1 presentation content in the following forms: Presenting the writing of round 1; Demonstrating talents (singing, dancing, storytelling, reading poetry...); Responding to pedagogical situations.

The best preschool teachers at the city level in the 2022-2023 school year were awarded first prize.

The time for the excellent preschool teacher exam in independent groups and classes at the district level will depend on the local situation, in 4 professional clusters. The time for the city-level exam is from March 11, 2024 to March 29, 2024.

The application for the contest includes a list of teachers registered for the contest, signed and confirmed by the leader of the Department of Education and Training according to the form, before February 26, 2024.

Contestants were recognized as excellent preschool teachers at the city level. Individuals and groups who won the prize received certificates of merit from the director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.

The "Talented Teacher" contest will create opportunities for non-public teachers to exchange and learn experiences.

The competition for excellent preschool teachers in groups and independent classes aims to improve the capacity, professional expertise, and professional skills of preschool teachers, and to promote their responsibility, love for the profession, and love for children. At the same time, this competition also creates conditions for non-public teachers to exchange and learn from each other's experiences.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training also successfully organized a city-level competition for excellent preschool teachers with the theme "Coordination between school, family and community in nurturing, caring for and educating children". 99 teachers from preschools in the city were awarded prizes.
