According to the announcement, the selection of Vietnamese students to attend COP30 is part of a cooperation initiative between 51Talk and the United Nations to give children from different countries the opportunity to speak out about environmental issues and climate change. Since its launch, the program has had the participation of students from China, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Thailand. This year, Vietnam will have a representative for the first time.

Previously, 51Talk organized the contest “Green Talk: Speak for the Future at the United Nations” in Vietnam for students aged 6-14 with the topic “How to protect the environment, starting with yourself?”. After the final round held on October 18, Le Bao Nhi won the championship and was selected to represent Vietnam to attend COP30 in Brazil.
At the conference, Bao Nhi will give a speech and participate in discussions with international youth, contributing ideas for initiatives to respond to global climate change. According to Bao Nhi, being the representative of Vietnamese children to speak at the United Nations Climate Change Conference is a great honor and she will try to demonstrate the responsibility of the young generation for a greener future.
51Talk currently operates in more than 50 countries, focusing on providing English learning programs for children aged 3-15. The group said that supporting Vietnam's representative to attend COP30 is part of the direction to encourage students to participate in global issues, especially responding to climate change, a common challenge of humanity.
