National DTI in 2024 increased by 8.6% compared to 2023

In 2024, Vietnam jumped 15 places in the United Nations e-Government rankings, ranking 71/193 countries, showing clear progress in the process of building a digital government.

According to the announcement by the Ministry of Science and Technology on October 21, 2025, the national Digital Transformation Index (DTI) in 2024 reached 0.7955, an increase of 8.6% compared to 2023.

Notably, in 2024, Vietnam rose 15 places in the United Nations' e- Government ranking, standing at 71st out of 193 countries, demonstrating significant progress in building a digital government.

At the provincial level, the DTI value in 2024 reached 0.6961, an increase of 2.6% compared to 2023. All three pillars recorded significant improvements: Digital Government reached 0.7582, an increase of 4.7%; Digital Economy reached 0.7723, an increase of 13.3%; and Digital Society reached 0.7692, an increase of 13.4%. The results show that localities have proactively applied digital technology to management and socio-economic development, while simultaneously promoting digital transformation in each specific sector and field.
