(HGO ) – On March 17, at the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho city, the Signing Ceremony of the cooperation agreement on training human resources in the electronics and semiconductor industry in Can Tho city took place. Attending the event were Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology ; Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, and leaders of enterprises, departments, branches, institutes and schools. On the side of Hau Giang province, there was Mr. Pham Truong Giang, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the province.

At the ceremony, a cooperation agreement on training human resources in the electronics and semiconductor industry was signed between the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City; Can Tho University of Technology; Can Tho University of Engineering and Technology and Sun Edu InternationalEducation Joint Stock Company.
The parties will cooperate to effectively organize training programs, foster, develop and expand high-quality human resources in semiconductors to meet the needs of investors and businesses operating in this field; organize specialized training courses for officials, lecturers and students in Can Tho city and the Mekong Delta region; organize communication events on program implementation activities; synthesize, report and evaluate the effectiveness of training activities, and advise and propose mechanisms and policies for training and developing human resources effectively and qualitatively.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Minister of Science and Technology, affirmed that high-quality human resources, especially in important industries such as the semiconductor industry, play a very important role in the national science and technology potential. Human resources are also a prerequisite for Vietnam to participate more deeply in the global semiconductor industry value chain. The Minister of Science and Technology believes that this cooperation in training human resources in the electronics and semiconductor industry will be of great significance in training human resources, improving competitiveness and attracting investment capital not only for Can Tho city but also for the whole Southwest region.
On this occasion, CESC1 Microchip Center (Can Tho University) and CESC2 Microchip Center (Can Tho University of Engineering and Technology) were awarded a License copyright certificate to conduct training in the coming time.
