Over the years, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has become a consistent content and a great spiritual motivation in building a clean, strong and exemplary Party organization and a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and exemplary" at the Coast Guard Region 3 Command. Thereby, not only improving the political qualities, morality and lifestyle of officers and soldiers, but also contributing to spreading the image of a Coast Guard soldier with a strong will, courage, close to the people, for the people, ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Combining studying Uncle Ho with carrying out central political tasks

At the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, studying and following Uncle Ho is concretized through practical actions, associated with each task and responsibility of each collective and individual in the entire unit. In mass mobilization work, a typical example is the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen", the image of Coast Guard officers and soldiers going to each village, hamlet, beach, and fishing boat, bringing emotional gifts from Coast Guard soldiers has become familiar to fishermen in coastal localities.

In recent times, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 has organized hundreds of law dissemination sessions, presented more than 50,000 national flags, tens of thousands of gifts, scholarships, bicycles, and medicines to people in difficult circumstances in the localities. Thereby, it has given fishermen more strength to confidently go out to sea, stick to the sea, and contribute to protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland early and from afar. Captain Tran Van Duc - Political Commissar of Coast Guard Ship 8001 shared: “We learn from Uncle Ho from his close and friendly behavior with the people; from his dedication, perseverance, and responsibility in performing his duties. Every smile of the fishermen is a priceless source of encouragement for us to continue to strive and overcome all difficulties and challenges.”

The study and following of Uncle Ho has also been concretized by officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 3 through outstanding results in carrying out the central political task - protecting sovereignty, maintaining law and order and security in assigned sea areas. In the period of 2016 - 2025, the unit has presided over and coordinated the successful fight against more than 110 projects and cases of drugs, smuggling, and trade fraud at sea; arrested nearly 200 violators; imposed administrative fines of more than 10 billion VND; auctioned off confiscated goods, paying more than 226 billion VND to the state budget.

Along with that, search and rescue work was deployed promptly and effectively. Over the past 10 years, the unit has successfully rescued 23 vehicles and 606 fishermen in distress at sea.

Contribute to the excellent completion of all assigned tasks

Over the years, the Party Committee and Command of Coast Guard Region 3 have always identified studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style as a key and regular political task; thereby promoting emulation movements and carrying out the task of building the unit. Party committees and organizations at all levels have focused on leading, directing and concretizing the content of studying Uncle Ho in line with practical work; focusing on promoting the exemplary role of the leading cadres, especially the heads of units, with the consistent viewpoint of "The superiors set an exemplary example, the subordinates actively follow". Thereby, many creative and effective learning models have emerged such as: "Uncle Ho's teachings on this day in history", "One law every day", "One story about Uncle Ho every week", "Diary of following Uncle Ho's teachings", etc., which have contributed to creating positive changes in the awareness and actions of cadres, party members and the masses. From there, it creates a self-motivated motivation in cultivating and training political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, and working style, contributing to improving the leadership capacity, fighting strength of the Party organization, and the overall quality of the unit.

Senior Lieutenant Tran Huu Ngoc - Captain of Coast Guard Ship 8005 shared: “Previously, I used to think that learning from Uncle Ho was something profound. But when I joined the unit, I realized that learning from Uncle Ho is from the simple, small things in daily life, from words, gestures, actions to the sense of responsibility at work. That is perseverance, patience, dedication to duty and wholeheartedness to comrades, teammates, and the people”.

Assessing the results of 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, Colonel Le Van Tu - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 3 affirmed: "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle at the unit is not only a political task, but has become an internal need, a cultural standard and a motivation for emulation and striving in each officer and soldier. That has contributed to fostering and shining the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" - Coast Guard soldiers in the new era".

After 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05, studying and following Uncle Ho at the Coast Guard Region 3 Command has been deeply rooted in each Party cell, each officer and soldier. From there, it has created consensus, solidarity, and determination to excellently complete all assigned tasks, worthy of being the core force in managing and protecting sovereignty, security, order and safety in the seas and islands of the Fatherland.
