Spreading the image of a friendly, safe, and culturally rich Vietnam at the Qatar Travel Mart 2025 International Tourism Fair

From November 24-26, the Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar coordinated with Saigontourist Group to participate in the Qatar International Travel Mart (Qatar Travel Mart - QTM) 2025, one of the most important and largest tourism promotion events in the Middle East.

Qatar Travel Mart 2025: The region's leading travel destination

QTM 2025 opened on November 24 with the participation of more than 60 countries, reaching a record number of visitors, delegations and exhibitors.

The event was chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry of Qatar, and was attended by a large number of ambassadors, senior officials and business leaders.

From the very first day, the exhibition area was bustling with tourism managers, government agencies, experts and international businesses meeting and discussing trends, cooperation opportunities and development directions.

In his opening speech, Visit Qatar Chairman Saad bin Ali Al-Kharji highlighted the importance of innovation, technology and sustainability in shaping the future of global tourism.

Vietnam booth makes its mark

Participating in QTM 2025, Vietnam introduced outstanding images of culture, nature, cuisine and unique tourism products through the booth co-organized by the Embassy and Saigontourist. Many international businesses came to learn about Vietnam tours, the possibility of cooperation in promoting destinations, exchanging customers and developing products.

Publications, promotional videos and activities introducing Vietnamese destinations attract a large number of visitors, thereby contributing to spreading the image of a friendly, safe and culturally rich Vietnam.

The Ambassadors of Indonesia, Haiti and businessman and philanthropist Farhan Al Sheikh Al Sayed, Chairman of the Qatar Modest Fashion Council, visited the Vietnamese booth.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Qatar Nguyen Huy Hiep shared: “Participating in the Qatar Tourism Fair 2025 is an important opportunity for Vietnam to introduce the image of a dynamic, culturally rich and friendly destination to international friends.

QTM is one of the largest tourism events in the region, gathering a large number of businesses, experts and global partners. Vietnam's presence here demonstrates our determination to promote, connect and expand tourism cooperation with the Middle East region in general and Qatar in particular.

Through the joint booth of the Embassy and Saigontourist, we hope to bring to international visitors and partners authentic images of the natural beauty, culture, cuisine and people of Vietnam.

At the same time, we expect the fair to open up more opportunities for cooperation in promoting destinations, exchanging visitors, developing tourism products and connecting businesses between the two sides.

Strengthening the promotion of Vietnamese tourism in the Middle East

The Middle East market is considered to have great potential for Vietnamese tourism, with demand for high-quality tourism and long-term stays. Participation in QTM 2025 helps Vietnam increase its presence in an important market, thereby expanding cooperation opportunities, promoting destinations and boosting the number of visitors from the region.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar said it will continue to coordinate with domestic enterprises and partners in Qatar to carry out many promotional activities in the coming time, aiming to bring the image of Vietnam closer to international friends and partners.
