At the end of April, all the neighborhoods and hamlets in the province simultaneously launched the "Digital Education for All" movement. The movement was designed with a practical, easy-to-understand, easy-to-do approach. People were guided on how to install the VNeID application, look up personal information, sign digitally, perform public administrative transactions, make electronic payments, etc.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh, Head of the Executive Board of Ward 3, Phu Cuong Ward (Thu Dau Mot City), said that the locality will organize free "Digital Literacy" classes in the evenings or on weekends right at the residential group. The neighborhood will assign young cadres, union members, and women's association members to support people step by step. Each class is only about 30 minutes, taught through illustrative videos, and accessible to everyone. When participating in the class, people will know how to look up agricultural prices, receive subsidies with e-wallets, avoid being scammed when surfing the internet, and contact their children and grandchildren via social networks...
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tien, Head of An My Hamlet, An Son Commune (Thuan An City), said that this movement is not simply a skills education program, but also an affirmation that digital transformation is the common path of development. "We are shortening the gap between urban and rural areas, between the elderly and the young. A civilized, convenient and safe society will start from such small, practical changes," said Mr. Tien.
The special feature of the movement is the goal of building a “Digital Family” model. Each family has at least one person who knows how to use technology, to support each other, spread knowledge and skills. Authorities at all levels join in, coordinate with mass organizations, telecommunications businesses, etc. to realize the goal of universalizing digital skills to 1.6 million adults by 2026.
The “Digital Literacy for All” movement is part of the comprehensive strategy for implementing national digital transformation, which has been specified by the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee with clear targets. Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that Binh Duong is building a comprehensive and synchronous digital society. With the motto “Fast deployment - Wide connection - Smart application”, the province hopes to mobilize the entire political system to participate, promoting the spirit of digital revolution “going to every alley, to every house, guiding every person”, to connect people with technology, so that every citizen can master modern life.
Focus on "digital network" at the grassroots level That is to build a network of "Digital Ambassadors" to popularize digital skills for the community through the Mentor - Learner (mentee) model. Each "mentor" guides digital skills for at least 5 "mentees". Each ward and commune arranges at least one staff member to support and guide when people come to do administrative procedures but do not have enough skills to operate on the Online Public Service Portal. "Digital Family" movement: Each household has at least one member participating in learning, understanding digital transformation, digital skills, using digital platforms and services and guiding family members. “Digital Market - Digital Rural Area” model: Training small traders, farmers and people in rural areas through the 4T learning model (Small traders - E-commerce - Cashless payment - Digital savings), helping learners master skills, use technology, digital platforms in business. “Each citizen - A digital identity” model: Ensuring 100% of citizens from 16 years old have a digital identity, supporting people to install and use the VNeID application, digital bank accounts. Model of “Community Digital Technology Team”: Promoting the role and improving the operational efficiency of established community digital technology teams in implementing the “Digital Literacy for All” movement with the motto of “going to every alley, to every house, guiding every person”, especially in rural areas, remote areas, areas with difficult conditions, and ethnic minority areas, ensuring that everyone is provided with basic digital transformation skills. |
